Design is important in all products built by the company including its conveyor line. All full size Built-Rite conveyors are hydraulic driven from the top. Two hydraulic levers control conveyor slope and have forward, reverse and stop positions.  A removable jack allows for even its largest conveyor to be moved by a single person. The motor bracket is up and out of the way so that cleaning out woodchips is much easier. The conveyors are engineered with a wide stance and are well-balanced to maximize stability while in tow.  The company currently offers five different conveyor models.

I’m quite impressed by this one. It’s rather well made. You might still point out the lack of protections but they are aware of the risks and handle the logs properly (placed like that the knockback is highly reduced), making it averagely safe. However, you’re the second video is 100% unsafe. The operator is not handling properly and you can see logs flying at him. Best case scenario on a long time use would be a wrecked hand while the worst case could be a log sent in chest or face at full speed.

They are certainly not for a "massive clearcut swath around Whitehorse." In fact they call for revegetation of these sites with less flammable deciduous species such as aspen or birch. The major objective is to reduce fire risk. Biomass fuels is an affordable means to this end. Few, if any, knowledgeable people would dispute that Whitehorse faces serious objective hazards at this time.

In contrast, if a used tree is tossed into a bonfire, all of its carbon content is immediately returned to the air as carbon dioxide. This also applies to culled trees on tree farms. And if used trees are placed in landfills, their carbon content will ultimately return to atmosphere as methane because of the way materials buried in landfills break down. Methane is a greenhouse gas 21 times more potent than carbon dioxide over a century, so this is the most environmentally harmful way to dispose of a used tree.

Coppiced or Pollarded stumps produce a number of growth shoots. These shoots grow back fairly straight with minimal intervention. As for how this helps save splitting wood. That all depends on when you harvest them. If you harvest the stump 1-3 years after the initial cut you’ll have thin canes suitable for wicker work or fence hurdle making. If you harvest the stool 5-10 years after the initial cut, you’re left with 3-5″ diameter sized wood, which for most heating uses does not require splitting. Harvest times depend on tree species & desired use. Birch, Hazel, Poplar, Linden, Locust, all grow pretty fast. With these it may be possible to harvest a winters worth of firewood that doesn’t need split, every 3 years. Depending on climate & growth conditions.
